Joseph Claire Mahannah, 1890–1963.
Son of Albert Ellsworth Mahannah; later head of the Kelsey Wheel Company in Detroit. Twenty-three letters and postcards, among them several written by his father from Hawaii in 1924, and two wartime letters from the War Department.
Born in Ohio in August 1890, second of the four sons of Albert Ellsworth Mahannah and Ida Lorena Davis. He married Fontie Gray Harris of Mississippi, and followed his father into the Kelsey Wheel Company, which he later headed in Detroit. He died at Bloomfield, Michigan in October 1963.
