William Tudor ApMadoc Sr., Illinois lawyer and legislator.
Member of the 46th Illinois General Assembly, listed in the Chicago Blue Books, and recorded in the state’s wartime centennial volumes. He died in January 1957.
Born at Utica, New York on 20 September 1873, the first of the line born in America, son of William and Eliza (Jones) ApMadoc. He was educated at the Utica Academy, the Armour Institute and the University of Michigan, took his LLB in 1896 and was admitted to the Illinois bar the same year, practising in Chicago — latterly alone, from 1910 — and sitting in the forty-fifth, forty-sixth and forty-seventh Illinois General Assemblies. He married Nelle Ina Gill on 26 September 1908; their children were William Tudor Jr. and Mary Gill. He died on 20 January 1957.
