Notes: Take at Lumbermans Monument long before trees had filled in the area.


It's a heavy bronze statue with 3 figures (from the left):
The "Riverman" with a tool called the peavy
The "Land looker" who scouted the forests for suitable places to establish a lumber camp, with his compass
The "Sawyer" with his double bitted axe and crosscut saw


The monument was erected in 1932 and created by artist Ailken


In the early days the Monument was protected by a chain-linked fence
