Locations: Camp Mahn Go Tah See Mi Notes: Members of Redford Unions "Conservation and Outdoor Education" class clean up the grounds near the sports court.
Each spring and fall, Homer brought his Conservation Classes for a three day field trip at Mahn-Go-Tah-See.
They would build animal shelters, visited points of interest along the Ausable River, went on a day-long fishing trip on Lake Huron, cooked all their own meals in outdoor settings, climbed a Forest Service fire tower, went on night hikes over the camp grounds and did some repair work at camp.
For many of the students, whose homes were in Redford, this was their first trip up north.
They travelled by school bus and a regular school bus driver accompanied them for the entire tripe. It was a "duty" that the veteran drives worked hard to get assigned to! Filename: photo005
